YOGA: Balance your body, mind and spirit through the practice of the 8 Limbs of Yoga.

Yoga is a deep and wide well of knowledge, information and practices.  Yoga encompasses not only postures, it also includes breathing techniques, concentration exercises, meditation, and philosophy.  Yoga helps us to cultivate a strong body and clear mind in which we can feel awakened to our “best” selves. Yoga can have a positive impact on your life.

Yoga originates from India, dating back over 5,000 years. The root word of yoga is Yuj,  “to join”.  In a modern day yoga class, this refers to the balance and union of opposites …body and mind, effort and ease, stability and flow, inhale and exhale, up and down, right and left, day and night.

With consideration for a cosmic concept of Yoga, everything is united within a vast web of relationship, ultimately union of total consciousness is realized.

"I first met Sharon while taking one of her yoga classes at Yoga Life in 2013.  Her voice, her knowledge and her teaching were fantastic.  It was however, her message that captured me.  Sharon, “knows her stuff” without a doubt; but there are a lot of yoga teachers “who know their stuff”.  Sharon brings a connection to her students that is only felt when the teacher is connected to a higher place of consciousness.  Sharon teaches from her heart and her students, including myself, feel and know the difference.  Transforming oneself through yoga takes a long time and with a teacher such as Sharon, the journey becomes a beautiful ride."
